Stop asking yourself if you have what it takes. You do. With the right calculated risk and systems in place, you are capable of far more than you think.
After looking back over my life, I wanted to share with you what I consider to be the four pillars of success in my career that you can start replicating as soon as today.
Keep the pursuit for money in check
Hear me out: money is important. When we chase success though, it’s easy to get tunnel vision and allow the pursuit of money to balloon into something bigger in our lives than it needs to be. Without the right checks and balances, this goal can easily end up stealing other areas of our lives and leave us physically, emotionally, and relationally bankrupt even if our bank accounts are overflowing.
Don’t give up
You’ve probably heard the saying: you don’t lose if you fail, you lose if you give up. And it’s true! There have been countless times in my life where it looked like I was going to take a major L (I share one of these over on Casey Brown’s podcast Cashflow Pro), but because I choose not to give up, I was able to gain back everything I lost plus some.
Put systems in place
Success is risky. If we don’t put systems in place to maintain and grow that success, we are at risk of losing everything. And take it from me – that’s not where you want to be. Goals are great, but systems are better because they can replicate the recipe for success more than just one time.
Invest in your health and relationships
One easy way to help keep the pursuit of money in check is to actively invest in our health and relationships. When we feel good, we can make good decisions in all areas of our lives. When our relationships are healthy, we are not only set up well to weather harder seasons and receive emotional support but have people to share in our success with us.
What pillar of success do you need to implement into your life TODAY? Do it, future you will thank you.
